It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and one of the newer pizza places to us that is superior is Made in New York Pizza; it earned an inaugural review in 2022 and advanced to Peachy's Picks in 2023! We are delighted to return for the first time in two years to 421 Amsterdam Ave on Manhattan's Upper West Side, and their salads even in the dead of winter continue to excel. From the simplicity of the Caesar Salad above to the majesty of the House Salad below which has red onions cut so well and peppers to heat you up, the salad options are a nutritional must to go with your pizza. Of course, the dressing is on the side as you see. The salads are sizable and robust.

Not only is their pizza spectacular, but their sides are winter winners too! The Chicken Roll is so fresh and is oozing with delicious mozzarella and grilled chicken. The cheese calzone continues to be absolutely the best on the west side of Manhattan and it's competitive with the best cheese calzones you've had in your life. We cannot overemphasize the freshness of both of these hot numbers that continue to make Peachy happy and she has missed them. Marinara comes to the party in both cases in a smashing fashion and don't miss it!

Of course it is standard review practice for Peachy to choose a large pizza with what she wants on it. You'll see Mushroom as an option, and we chose to add spinach which visually and nutritionally enhanced it by quite a lot. Anyone who thinks pizza is not healthy has not had this pizza!

However, the real star of the show this visit was the Margherita Stracciatella. As you know, Peachy has a close relationship with Burrata and Stracciatella is the inside of Burrata. This pizza is completely outstanding and normally we choose a large cheese to see what the dough, sauce and cheese is like standalone, and this totally outperforms a regular cheese. We have not seen anyone else put Stracciatella on pizza before and it's totally genius and equally delicious; you need this specific piza in your life.

Made in New York Pizza continues to be a Peachy's Pick.
