Manhattan is obviously the dealmaking capital of the world, and as commanding Park Avenue businesses rise and celebrate after closing a major transaction, they head to 52 Vanderbilt Avenue to the storied white tablecloths of Ammos Estiatorio to raise their glasses in cheer, where they may have also negotiated the deal in one of the private banquet rooms on a prior occasion. With a menu designed to appeal to a wide level of tastes while keeping with the healthful goals of the Mediterranean diet with an obvious Greek focus, Ammos Estiatorio is where you should go to power lunch! It's a verb.
Grilled Kalamari is a wonderful welcome, warm and inviting showcasing the Mediterranean flair signature of Ammos Estiatorio extending to the fragrant ladolemono sauce, a harbinger of springtime just around the corner!  We show it grilled however if you desire crispy with lemon caper aioli, that is another option available to you.  Ammos Estatorio is the last word in Greek Seafood Restaurants in New York and we have been singing their praises since 2011 and they have been a returning superstar to our Best Restaurants list every year; this is our 2025 list.
Carnivores, rejoice!  Meatballs aren't only for Italians.
Befriend the Keftedes, crafted with 100 percent sirloin.  These hearty beauties party with barrel-aged feta and fresh parsley while luxuriating in a intoxicatingly delicious tomato and basil sauce!  They salute your success and showcase exactly how the excellence of Ammos extends beyond the fish itself.
The Prix-Fixe Lunch at $55 is a winning three course menu.
The main course of Psari Imeras is a lovely Greek translation of Fresh Catch of the Day!  Halibut was the star of the show the day we visited, however, Striped Bass, Swordfish, Lemon Fish, Tuna, Filet of Snapper and Mediterranean Sole all are co-stars depending on the day.  Grilled to perfection, the Halibut majestically perches upon Kritharaki (Orzo) further enhanced with tomatoes, eggplants, and mixed vegetables.  A golden carrot puree and a beet balsamic glaze emblazon and circle this wonder from the sea.  Of course, Ammos goes beyond the power lunch! You can also power off and celebrate your personal victories with the sensational flavor of the Mediterranean!
