It's not who you know it's Whom You Know and we have known the talents behind EJ's for many years including years before Whom You Know ever existed. Their salads are testament to their super American classic style. There's a constant line out the door at EJ's. You might not see white tablecloths here but we can tell you the taste of the cuisine is all pinkies out. EJ's has been a Peachy's Pick since 2011 and was last featured in Winter 2024.
The most exciting news is there's a new chef and we were delighted to work with Chef Ross Goldflam for the first time. His talent is the newest ray of sunshine that you'll see and these pictures unedited as always showcase why they are one of a few number of Peachy's Picks that has earned a feature in Sensational Salads. We want to see more salads everywhere and started this column last year; we are even more inspired now with Mover and Shaker Kick Kennedy and her dad's leadership in eating right for the USA.
We began with the Power Greens Salad and chose to add salmon which was an extraordinary triumph in itself. The pumpkin seeds and craisins were particularly laudable in this power mix of kale, romaine, spinach, corn, carrots, cucumber and tomato. It comes with a lemon vinaigrette and EJ's knows of our preference for dressing on the side and they are hospitality perfection each and every time. Obviously you can have your salad dressed if your little heart desires.
Caesar Salads are the one and only salad that Peachy ever wants dressed. Crisp Romaine lettuce is the triumphant foundation for the Chicken Caesar Salad joined by sensational grilled chicken, parmesan cheese and herb baked croutons. Of course these pictures are unedited and EJ's cuisine looks like this in person.
Next, the Greek Chicken Salad of perfectly cubed Grilled Chicken, Feta Cheese, Stuffed Grape Leaf, Olives (we like the olives here; often Peachy does not like olives at lesser venues), Cucumber, Tomato, Red Onion and Romaine Lettuce team up for winning goals in your stomach. We hope you are getting excited for Ovi 8. Every component was so well-cut.
The Cobb Salad is a Classic deserving of your attention and note it usually comes with Blu Cheese however we asked for no Blu Cheese because it is not for Peachy anywhere. Again, the Grilled Chicken is beyond spectacular and is joined in a perfect symphony of Avocado, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Hardboiled Egg, Tomato, Cucumber, Red Onion and Mixed Greens culminating in outstanding flavor.
Having a cheeseburger on your salad is truly the best of both worlds!
You can have it all in life at EJ's.
Say ENCHANTE to the Salad Burger which was our FAVORITE.
The half pound Angus Burger was perfectly medium rare as we ordered.
You could also have a Turkey Burger or a Veggie Burger.
Mixed Greens, Avocado, Tomato, Cucumber and Red Onion all sing backup in nutritious fashion.
In addition to the total quality, we applaud the quantity also of ten salads we currently count on the menu. The Orange Juice is also fantastic!
More Peachy's Picks should be like EJ's and have ten salads on their menu of such spectacular quality.
