Spinach Calzone was our favorite!
It's never been who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Uncle Paul's Pizza. Actually the first time we ever went to work with Dino we did not realize it was Paul Nicaj whom we already knew...and Paul, Dino Redzic and Nick Krkuti all own Uncle Paul's Pizza on Vanderbilt Avenue which we have been to many times before covid.

OF COURSE, our favorite spot downtown is Battery Gardens by Paul which will be renamed and redone and remember we were the first to review it after Hurricane Sandy. We will likely be the first to review it when it comes back! We cannot WAIT and we LOVE Paul Nicaj!!!
However, we might have a second favorite place downtown, namely: Too Good Pizza and Salad.
You can never be TOO GOOD.
You will just be excellent!
We are thrilled and honored to be the first to review this venue which opened in mid-February 2022.
We were delighted to work with Manager Luigi Loshi again who has a much better memory than Peachy and see there the cream rises to the top when a pandemic happens the best unite.
Life is Peachy when you know where to go for PIZZA

Everyone knows Peachy is a Pizza Monster and Dino knows especially because he is a Pizza Expert and like a kid on a long car trip asking "Are we there yet?!" Peachy is not dissimilar when it comes to when someone we know is opening a pizza place. A goal of Peachy's is to incorporate the food group of mozzarella into every edible and they hit the high marks with salad.
Above meet the caprese: a total classic! The trifecta of fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil will truly make your day with the simplicity of the fine ingredients.
Their signature salad is the Too Good Mixed Salad.
This salad could be a meal especially if you are fasting today for Lent-it's Ash Wednesday. The Too Good Mixed Salad is crispy bacon, roasted peppers, red onion, fresh mozzarella, grilled mushrooms and balsamic on the side which they did correctly for Ms. Superpicky. Every item was fresh and wonderful even in the dead of winter.
The Spinach Calzone is wonderful beyond words and was our favorite edible!!! The proportion of cheese to sauce to spinach to dough was ideal and the flavor of each part combined with the soft, chewy crust and the superlative marinara dipping sauce was spectacular. Peachy actually cried after she ate it all she was so sad it disappeared. Chicken Parm was Peachy's favorite grinder at Boston College so we try to replicate that experience anywhere and everywhere and we did so here too:
They call it Chicken Parm Hero because this is New York not New England or better specifically, Connecticut. No one is saying where's the cheese here and the chicken cutlets were super.

We always have a pizza with what Peachy picks and that one is above. Tomato, Garlic, Onions, Mushrooms, Spinach and Broccoli make this a vegetarian delight not that Peachy is a vegetarian but rather she knows bathing suit season is coming! And there is no sacrifice of taste at all because any bunny will tell you all of these nutritional veggies have maximum freshness and flavor at Too Good. The straight pizza with no mixer we chose was the Margarita with fresh mozzarella, plum tomatoes and pillowy crust, equally delightful.
Of course Too Good Pizza and Salad is Terrific Takeout!
